The big weather story this week is the large warm-up expected. Highs will be back in the 80s by Wednesday before warming to near 90 on Thursday! Thursday will be the day to watch this week for higher humidity values and the chance for thunderstorms in the later hours.

Right now, models agree that there will be rainfall on Thursday, but we still need to monitor the timing of that system. If all the ingredients come together at the right time, we could see some stronger storms at times. This is still several days out, so stay updated through the week.

Even after Thursday's rain chance, above average temperatures are expected through the second half of June. The official first day of summer is on Friday, which is also the longest day of the year.
